2018 to 2023: UFO Sightings in the USA

Arizona, Desert: 19th February 2018

Three commercial pilots saw an unidentified object fly above them in unrestricted airspace over Arizona, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Investigators concluded that a "high-altitude research balloon" was what the pilots most likely witnessed.

New Mexico, Clayton: 21st February 2021

According to published audio, a pilot reported seeing a long cylindrical object approaching the appearance of a "cruise missile type of thing" flying directly over them at a height of 37,000 feet (11,278 m). Flight 2292's radio transmission was, according to American Airlines, confirmed. A few days later, the FAA reported: "On Sunday, February 21, 2021, shortly after noon local time, a pilot reported sighting an object above New Mexico. On their radarscopes, FAA air traffic controllers were unable to detect any nearby objects.


Alaska, Deadhorse: 10th February 2023

The U.S. Air Force shot down a high-altitude object that had violated American airspace on February 9 when it was flying above the Beaufort Sea. It was described by the Department of Defense as being about the size of a small car and traveling northeast at a height of 40,000 feet (12,192 meters), endangering flights by civilians.

Michigan, Lake Huron: 12th February 2023

Over northern Montana, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, at a height of 20,000 feet (6,096 m), strings were seen hanging from an octagonal object.  The US Air Force and National Guard fired down on the object above Lake Huron, which then crashed into Canadian waters, briefly closing the airspace in the area.
